How we are doing our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 at our training facility: 

Providing world class, safe and sanitary training has always been The Extension Academy’s goal and we will now strictly incorporate any and all additional measures necessary to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. 

 Precautions for our Plan for Re-Opening: 

  • Our fall/winter class sizes will be reduced to a maximum of 6 students per class

  • Both our classroom and training room will be re-designed so that students are always spaced at 6-foot distance between each station

  • Masks or face shields will be worn by everyone at all times. All students will be required to wear a mask upon entering our facility

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available upon entering our facility.

  • All tools, procedure surfaces and touch-points such as door handles and training iPads will be either one time use or thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals through-out the day

  • Latex-free gloves will be supplied and may be worn at all times if desired

 

Arrival:

  • No additional friends or family will be allowed to enter the facility. 

  • You will be required to wear a mask or faceshield upon arrival and throughout your training. These will be provided to you free of charge if you do not have one, but you are encouraged to wear your own. 

  • We will ask you to use hand sanitizer before entering our facility and anytime you re-enter our facility.

  • Please follow floor and seat markings to maintain a safe distance. 

  • Once in our facility, we will have you complete the COVID-19 pre-screening form.

 Models:  

Model completion will be optional for all classes and can be completed at a later date if desired (free of charge). We will continue to monitor the government guidelines closely and will update students accordingly. If models cannot be completed in class for services pertaining to the face at the time of your training, alternative solutions will be provided ensuring you receive the most thorough training possible while also adhering to the guidelines in set by the government of Ontario. 

Model Arrival Time: 

  • You will not be required to complete a model during class and will be welcomed back to a future date if you choose to complete your model work at a later date. 

  • Models will be required to wear a mask to their appointment and continue to wear it throughout the day. 

  • Models will have their temperature checked prior to entering our facility using a handsfree infrared thermometer

  • Models will be required to follow floor marking’s and sanitize their hands before entering our facility. 

  • Models will be required to fill out a COVID-19 prescreening form. 

  • Absolutely no additional family or friends may accompany the model into our facility. 

Staff & Training Facility Practices/Precautions:

  • Our facility will be cleaned and sanitized several times each day.

  • Our kitchen area will be closed 

  • We will not be accepting payments in class. 

  • All tools, procedure surfaces and touch-points such as door handles and training iPads will be either one time use or thoroughly cleaned and disinfected  at regular intervals through-out the day 

  • PPE will be readily available for staff and students.
